Some 30 years ago after working as a housekeeper for the famously heroic writer Sir Patrick Leigh Fermor, Lela opened up her own little taverna.
Together with her husband Petros and sons, Giorgos and Stavros, Lela transformed her passion for cooking into serving the most tasteful dishes which are renowned throughout Greece and beyond.
That passion is still visible today when she guides her eldest grandson Petros in the kitchen.

Lela's Taverna is a family-run business, running for more than thirty years. Situated in the centre of Kardamili yet right by the sea.
We serve freshly cooked traditional Greek dishes using the finest local ingredients and herbs.

Opening hours:
from mid-april to november open 7 days a week from 18:00 until 22:00
