In the restaurant of the Resort Romantza you will discover the traditional Greek fish focused cuisine with and especially the famous trout from our fish pond that has a history and quality production over thirty years.
Of course the menu has not only fish but also various other traditional recipies and that will leave all our guests satisfied.
Cafeteria
The area of the cafeteria of ”Romantza” can be simply described with the following phrase, “in nature and next to the river.”
Enjoy a coffee of your choice and taste in a unique area flooded with greenery in direct contact with nature along with the sound of gurgling water from the river Pamisos.
A relaxing place for groups visiting Agios Floros and families who want a pleasant change of environment and contact with nature just 15 minutes from Kalamata.
Trout
Apart from the restaurant, the cafeteria and the event venue, we also have a trout farm in which the fish that are served in our shop, are bred.
Fish are essential to Greek traditional cuisine. They are nutritious, contain good quality protein and provide energy without a large amount of fat. Fish are very healthy and should have a stable place in our diet, consumed at least two times a week.
The consumption of fish helps in lowering cholesterol. Scientists claim that eating fish can reduce triglycerides and “bad” cholesterol. Also, eating fish prevents many forms of cancer.
Trout is a fish of medium size, with a length of about 70 cm and a weight of one pound with important nutritional value but also very special flavor that is closely connected with the Greek diet and tradition.
Trout particularly provides us with high amounts of phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, with many benefits for the heart, blood vessels and brain. Also, numerous studies suggest eating fish prevents Alzheimer’s and dementia.
